Crop circles

Worldwide, approx. 7,000 crop circles. They are known from several centuries back and occur in many countries around the globe. In Norway, we have registered 34 circles since 1950. Although some circles are demonstrably man-made, e.g. commissioned by TV stations and advertising agencies, the rest are to be considered a mystery. Despite serious scientific research into the phenomenon for more than 10 years, no one can say for sure how and why they occur.

"The picture below was one of the crop circles I had a good feeling about. The grain lay airy and nice. Also note that the corridors are of different widths in the four different sectors."

"Every year, a couple of hundred beautiful and mysterious patterns appear in cornfields around the world. To date, 12,000 of them have been recorded worldwide. In Europe, North America and southern Africa, the phenomenon has been known for centuries. There exist up to a hundred accounts from people who have seen crop circles appear within seconds or minutes, often accompanied by mysterious light phenomena. Eva-Marie Brekkestø's book , the result of 13 years of in-depth studies of the crop circles, goes into depth on several aspects of the phenomenon: the crop circles in a historical perspective, eyewitness accounts, light phenomena, the research in the area, the symbols and geometry of the patterns and what the message to humanity might be."
