Healing is energy transfer. It includes methods where the practitioner has the intention of helping the body to heal itself through touch, or movement in the energy field around the body, our aura.

Healing has been practiced in cultures since prehistoric times, and has also been part of earlier Western medical practice. Healing is based on ability, not theoretical knowledge. A healer can be defined as "a person with a natural ability to convey or transfer life energy". Healing works by the healer transferring life energy to you by direct touch, or by influencing frequencies and/or causing rearrangements in your aura (bioenergetic fields, also called the biofield) around the body. Healing can be experienced as a profound form of treatment.

Healing has gained recognition among nurses in the USA under the name Therapeutic Touch (TT/Therapeutic touch.) Therapeutic touch was introduced in Norway in the early 1970s.

Remote healing
The energy can also be conveyed by distant healing. The patient can be far away from the therapist, and yet physically feel that the therapist is working. It is important that the therapist has direct contact with the patient, and that the person has asked for healing himself. It is the patient himself who holds the key. There's no point in me as a healer coming to a locked door!
