Breath

By Oddbjørn Oktavio Uran

In the physiological body we have some components that must be present for life to function. We must have a heart that beats, and we must have oxygen to be carried around to our vital organs. This is where PUST comes in.
If we go back to our ancestors, and especially tribal people, they were very concerned with breathing.

We find breathing exercises embedded in ceremonies among both the Tibetans, the aborigines, Indian tribes, etc. Possibly many of these groups used hallucinogens at the same time, but the breath was, and is, the anchor of every life.
If we look today at the picture of illness that we are presented with in magazines and health-related books, it may seem that one of the major reasons for this is "that we humans have forgotten to breathe". Yes, of course we breathe, but it is stress breathing, which takes place in the uppermost areas of the lungs.

Today there are several who offer treatments and training in getting back to our -basic-breath-. We have, among other things, Rebirthing and Wim Hof as good ambassadors. There are more, but these are the ones we see most often referred to. The interesting thing about Wim Hof's method is that part of the idea behind us breathing incorrectly is that the body becomes acidic
and thus are more easily accessible to disease. An acidic body has a pH below 7.

Via certain breathing exercises, you can help make the body basic and more resistant.
